Creating Mind Maps

Create your Mind Map using SpiderScribe

In this new entry, I´ll explain how to create a Mind Map by using the resource SpiderScribe.

First of all, we need to know what is Spiderscribe. SpiderScribe is an online mind mapping and brainstorming tool. It lets you organize your ideas by connecting notes, files, calendar events, etc. in free-form maps. You can collaborate and share those maps online. This resource lets you:
- Capture & Connect ideas: Capture and organize text notes, files, and image, events and locations.
- Share & Collaborate online: You can create private or public maps, collaborate and share with others.
- Access from anywhere: The maps are stored “in the cloud” and can be accessed from anywhere.

This platform offers an introductory video to help you out with this. Click on the following link to watch the video: Spiderscribe Video Introduction

After following the instructions, this is what I got!

My opoinion about the tool.

I think this tool is a great resource to use in your classroom. It´s really helpful to introduce a new topic to our students because they will have the opportunity to get an overall idea and to understand easily difficult concepts, however, this resource doesn´t allow you to embed videos to the images used in the mind map and it is necessary to have or download Adobe Flash Player to preview it properly in all types of computers and cellphones, what makes it less attractive for users.

I hope you enjoyed my new entry. I really enjoyed this resource.

Spread my ideas!
