Use Digital Infographics in Classroom

Use Digital Infographics in Classroom

Welcome to a new entry. In here I´ll explain to you how to use Canva to create Infographics for your classroom.

First of all...

What is Canva?

Canva is a tool loaded with enough easy-to-use features and functionality that anyone can create a variety of engaging content that gets shared. Canva really offers a variety of content types, from pre-sized social media image and header templates to marketing materials, documents, presentations, invitations and ads.

How to start...

How to create an infographic in Canva to use it in your classroom?

Follow the steps to use Canva.
  1. Go to Canva.
  2. Click “Sign Up” and register for an account.
  3. Return to Canva and log in.
  4. Choose any graphic to your interest.
    • Click on Blog Graphic
    • Choose a Canva layout with one million images or click “upload” on the bottom left to edit any image you want. Choose and develop a style and ‘tone’ for your infographic that you can carry on through the whole piece. Make sure it’s a style that can suit every point your infographic is going to make, and one that you can consistently use throughout.
    • Change color, background or add icons, text, images, lines, shapes over the components on the left side
    • Click “Share” on the top right to share your blog graphic either with others to view or edit your design or on social media OR click “Download” on the top right to download your design.
Syllable Rules de Fatima Sadornil

In this case, the infographic let us comprehend the syllables by explaining with visuals the different Rules. It also helps our students to see clear examples of these rules.

Why is this resource useful for students?

The tool allows students to design posters to showcase their knowledge in a visual way.
This collaborative tool allows students to share their works and request feedback from their classmates. Students can use Canva to construct and show knowledge. They can also capture photos or videos of their class work, homework, assignments, school activities, post those in their own account, or a class account, and have discussions about the posts. Teachers can use Canva to design visually appealing infographics, posters, and images to complement text-heavy learning experiences.

In my opinion, Canva is a great resource for everyone to use, it is very easy to use and very intuitive.

I hope you enjoyed this post!
