Storyboard That, a great resource to create Comic Strips.

Comic Strips Creator: Storyboard That.

In this new entry I´ll explain how to use the resource called Storyboard That.

welcome to storyboard that

Fun and learning come together with Storyboard That. This application allows us to create comic strips, storyboards or graphic organizers. Clearly communicate ideas through graphics is a great way for students to demonstrate their learning.

1. Graphic Organizers:

Storyboard That offers a variety of graphic organizers to go beyond the 3-panel comic. Students can organize their ideas and share their creation.

2. Create:

Students can easily get started using Storyboard That to create scenes that tell a story of what they’ve learned. Storytelling and narrative are powerful ways to remember and learn. The simple drag and drop interface allows students to focus on their ideas rather than how to navigate the program.

3. Customization:

Students can customize the elements of the comic strip. The customization features are not hidden, encouraging students to really think carefully about how they are going to communicate their ideas. After choosing the cells you could add different scenes, characters, textables, shapes, etc. and customize them however they want.

I created this storyboard to show my students some tips to face their IGCSE Exam.

Why is this resource useful?

In my opinion,  this type of resources can be very useful, for example, to analyze possible fears of students when they have to face and manage brand new situations. Additionally, it can be used to show different situations such as bulling or argues and, to see and/or know the possible consequences of wrongful acts and/or help students to feel more confident about subjects, exams, etc., as in my example.

The only negative of this tool is that free accounts expire in 15 days, and after that time it is not possible to publish your storyboards or create new ones, that´s why I couldn´t embed mine and the link provided doesn´t work.

I hope you enjoyed this entry. I found it pretty useful.
